This film presents “Facts Miscellaneous, A Hypothesis in 26 Letters, 5 Equations and No Answer,” a group exhibition at MACVAL / Musée d’Art Contemporain du Val-de-Marne, which brings together the works of 80 artists from diverse backgrounds. Through a sustained interview, Nicolas Surlapierre, director of MACVAL and curator of the exhibition, alongside Vincent Lavoie, associate curator, share their thoughts and investigations about this exhibition, supported by evidence.

An innovative scenography provides the keys to deciphering the multiple artistic proposals that explore the news story. The viewer can thus decode the springs of the genre. As the subtitle of the exhibition announces “A hypothesis in 26 letters, 5 equations and no answer”, each person becomes a witness and can give free rein to their imagination and free will.
