segona estació is the second stage of a comprehensive project, called l’estació. It aims to be a vector of research in resonance with the village and the local context where we reinvent, through plastic proposals, new dynamic relationships with our environment and more precisely with the rural world, the landscape and nature. This project proposes a reconciliation between the culture of the earth and the spirit, a reconsideration and a rereading of the environment through the interventions of the invited artists.

From July 1 to September 10, 2000, 15 artists and a group of international architects (Algeria, Germany, England, Spain, France, Japan, Italy) worked on the site of the former Benifallet station.

l’estació develops with the village of Benifallet a reflection on new dynamic relationships to our environment, to the rural world, to the landscape and to nature through artistic and architectural interventions. After primera estació (September 1999), segona estació constitutes the second stage of the project. Concentrated on an emblematic place – the old station of the village – this experience questions the identity of this territory through the architecture / nature relationship, invites memory and history and thus explores new perspectives for the future of this place. (Betty Bui and Gilles Coudert)
