A co-publishing a.p.r.e.s éditions / Cité de l’architecture et du patrimoine

The architects Dominique Jakob and Brendan Macfarlane were the first invited to imagine the Ifa’s “Current event” at the Cité de l’architecture et du patrimoine. The notebook-DVD is both a facsimile of their notes and drawings for this particular project and a real sketchbook (32 blank pages at the end of the volume). We follow their creative process step by step, from the draft to the final project for the Show, the “Blown Data House”, an architecture developed from climate data using the most sophisticated technologies. They also describe in annotated images their key dates, their routes, as well as their favorite trade fairs. In Gilles Coudert’s film on the DVD, Jakob + Macfarlane tells us about their references, their tastes, their projects and the development of this first ‘Salon de l’Ifa’.
