Quand l’art partage les eaux

The question of water, its quality, its preservation and its sharing constitutes the starting point of the film. The sharing of water materializes in the flow of water on either side of the slopes which then flow into the Atlantic Ocean or the Mediterranean Sea but also through the sharing of water, a more than current situation with the threat of warming linked to climate upheaval due to human activity.

The artistic trail project “Le Partage des eaux” piloted by the Monts d’Ardèche Regional Natural Park between the two departments of Haute-Loire and Ardèche is an exemplary manifesto which highlights through around ten artists’ interventions the global issues raised by the watershed.

Les Jardiniers du futurs

If the gardener too often remains a taskmaster, for Gilles Clément, a recognized landscape gardener and writer, he is an essential player in life on Earth. Frédéric Lapouge, “green space worker”, considers Gilles Clément his “spiritual father”. These two atypical gardeners, from different social origins, meet their eyes on this common passion that they share with young gardeners. Thus the thought and practice of Gilles Clément are transmitted over several generations and reinvent this profession of the future. Hybrid artist and curious scientist, the gardener must know the plants and their environments before acting. His thoughtful gestures are also political. A philosopher in his spare time, the gardener is above all a poet when he dialogues with the living.
