Les Aventures de MuMo, le Musée Mobile
A film by Gilles Coudert
(71 min. / 2013)

Gilles Coudert has followed MuMo from its conception to its manufacture and throughout its journey from village to school. MuMo was assembled in England and then presented for the first time at the International Contemporary Art Fair in Paris. He then left for a tour in France and then in Africa. It is the voice of MuMo, interpreted by Charles Berling, who tells us about his adventures on the two continents and gives a voice to the various actors of the project. Sponsors, architect, artists, art historian, mediators and MuMo driver tell us about the challenges of such an experience. Throughout the stages, we witness the reactions of the children in the presence of the works of the artists as well as the testimonies of the numerous interlocutors: the teachers and directors of the schools, the mayors of the villages or the representatives of associations hosting the museum. The film reveals to us how children from totally different backgrounds and conditions perceive these works and allow us to understand, by bringing the two tours together, how contemporary art practices strive to develop a universal language that contributes to facilitating relationships. between individuals while valuing diversity as an asset.
