This film presents Tadashi Kawamata‘s installation “Xiringuito” at the Can Xalant creative center in Mataró, Spain, in 2006. During a workshop with the artist, around twenty students from art and architecture schools in Barcelona spontaneously built a wood and metal structure in the middle of the art center’s courtyard after extensive exchanges of ideas and projects. Many participants shared their thoughts on this collective work and this new place for meeting and socializing.

Ce film présente l’installation de Tadashi Kawamata « Xiringuito » au centre de création Can Xalant à Mataró en Espagne en 2006. A l’occasion d’un workshop au côté de l’artiste, une vingtaine d’étudiants d’écoles d’art et d’architectures de Barcelone ont construit de manière spontanée une structure en bois et en métal, au milieu de la cour du centre d’art après de multiples échanges d’idées et de projets. De nombreux participants nous confient leurs ressentis sur ce travail collectif et ce nouveau lieu de rencontre et de convivialité.
