An atypical gardener, Frédéric Lapouge works near Besançon and works at the Saline royale d’Arc-et-Senans. In the privacy of his garden, he invites his mentor Gilles Clément to share his poetic universe. A pioneering landscaper and renowned writer, the latter sheds light on this too often discredited profession with his chosen words. Because the gardener must know the plants before acting, he is a curious and patient ecologist. His precise gestures engage the body and the mind, they are also political. The gardener reveals himself as an artist when he dialogues and dances with the living. The film highlights gardeners who are already imagining the world of tomorrow!

Jardinier atypique, Frédéric Lapouge travaille près de Besançon et intervient à la Saline Royale d’Arc-et-Senans. Dans l’intimité de son jardin, il invite son maître à penser Gilles Clément à partager son univers poétique. Paysagiste précurseur et écrivain renommé, ce dernier éclaire avec des mots choisis, ce métier trop souvent déconsidéré. Parce que le jardinier doit connaître les plantes avant d’agir, il est un écologue curieux et patient. Ses gestes précis engagent le corps et la pensée, ils sont aussi politiques. Le jardinier se révèle artiste quand il dialogue et danse avec le vivant. Le film met à l’honneur des jardinières et des jardiniers qui imaginent déjà, le monde de demain !
