The Treasure of the Cathedral of Angoulême, begun in 2008 and completed in 2016, is a monumental work by artist Jean-Michel Othoniel which stages more than 200 liturgical objects and sculptures mostly dating from the 19th century. This project was commissioned by Drac Nouvelle-Aquitaine.
Gilles Coudert and Damien Faure’s film takes us on an adventure of the Treasure through the words of Jean-Michel Othoniel and the meeting in their workshop, of the Masters of art who developed it with him. From decision makers to many craftsmen, all bear witness to the long process of this major achievement.
